So, it's been a long time eh? Well, I have some EXCITING news! Hannah has ever so wonderfully given me her domain, Magic-Love. I am SO excited since it will be the first domain I've ever owned. I guess I just couldn't commit to a domain before, but now is the time. I just don't want to keep moving my fanlistings around anymore.

I did it, I finally put up a new layout! I got sick of my last layout a really long time ago, but I couldn't find the inspiration for a new one, so it stay. A little too long. But I've finally got a summery layout up, and I'm pretty happy with it I guess.
I can't sleep right now... I've completely flipped my days around to fit my work schedule so I end up sleeping at around 2 or 3 in the morning and waking up at around 1 in the afternoon. It kind of sucks, but I'm enjoying my job... most of the time. I'm working at a veterinary clinic as an assistant full time over the summer. Most of my job just involves helping the techs and restraining animals. It really gets your adrenaline going sometimes... crazy cats...
I actually have today and tomorrow off, so I'm meeting my friend for a belated birthday get together. We're going to watch The Devil Wears Prada, I'm kind of excited about it. Some people I work with saw it and said they really liked it. I read some reviews saying the beginning was good, but it gets worse near the end. But then again, I never really agree with reviews. What I really want to see is Superman Returns, which I hear is reallg great and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, but that doesn't come out until the 7th.
I went to Wal-Mart yesterday (love that store). I went just to get wax for my legs, and ended up buying lotion for my hands, Sweet Home Alabama on DVD and Nair's Cire Divine wax. I love Sweet Home Alabama, it's one of my favourite, guilty pleasure, chick flicks of all time. That and Never Been Kissed. So it made my shopping trip worth while because the wax I bought... REALLY SUCKED! Let me just say, I saw the commercials and I decided to try it because I hate having to wash cloth strips from sugaring, but it was the biggest diasspointment ever. AND, what's worse is there's no money-back guarantee, I checked the box. It is horrible! It's messy for one. It takes longer than sugaring since I have to heat the wax in the microwave and then wait for it to cool. It doesn't apply as smoothly. And it didn't even get ANY of the hairs on my leg! Don't waste your time if you're thinking of trying it. Nair's Cire Divine... CUT!
Anyway... I'm off to bed I guess.

So I've been a horrible webmiss! ARREST ME! HaHa... no... don't!
Anyway, I just wanted to post and let you know that I am putting 2 of my fanlistings up for adoption.... SADLY....
It really PAINS me to do this but since my host just disappeared, I've lost ALL the files to these fanlistings - codes, layouts, members... everything... I was lucky enough to have moved Grey's Directory in time before it too became lost in the internet abyss... And I've decided that my Toy Story characters fanlisting is salvageable... Anyways!
I've put SO MUCH time and effort into these two fanlistings that I don't think I can re-build them. I am giving them away because I am sure that there are bigger fans out there that can do a better job at it than I can. So here goes, up for grabs are:
Musicians: Male Usher Raymond
Songs: Various > Collaborations Usher feat. Alicia Keys: My Boo
I will tell you now that I will be extremely picky about who gets the Usher fanlisting. I am looking for someone with great graphic skills who will do justice for the fanlisting. If not, I may chose to keep the fanlisting and start from scratch again...
If you think you're up for the job, and I haven't scared you off already, send me an e-mail at Peachie_K[@]Yahoo.com with the Subject line Adopt: and which fanlisting you want, either Usher or My Boo. Please send a separate form if you want to apply for both. Be sure to include:
Name: E-Mail address: Sample of your work: Why I should give the fanlisting to you:
That's it.... apply AWAY!
P.S. - The application deadline will be March 18th! After that I will no longer accept applications and will be making my decision.

NEW FANLISTING! It's for the movie character Elena de la Vega played by Catherine Zeta-Jones from the Mask of Zorro series. I'm so excited to have adopted this fanlisting, thanks so much to Kyrie. Also, big thanks to Hannah for hosting me, AGAIN! LOVE YOU!
Hmmmm... I guess it's been over a week since my last post... but I'm trying aren't I?
As-per-usual, here I am supposedly working on an assignment... but really, I needed a break. I have to come up with a research proposal for an observational study based on a disease and a factor which causes the disease for my Epidemiology class.... ugh... and yes, it's complicated. I chose to do asthma and the effect of pet ownership on the development of the disease in children. This assignment is due next week but I want to get it done and out of the way this week, since I still have another essay and midterm to do next week. I'm trying to work on my time management skills... Blah!
So, my printer's toner pretty much died on me today and when I went to Staples Business Depot to get a new toner cartridge the guy tells me that they don't carry toner for the model I have and that if I wanted it he could special order it which, not only takes 10 days to get, but it costs $140... like I HAVE that much to spend on toner... GEEZ... my sister suggested just getting a new printer that would be faster and better and only cost me like $115... so, let's see... toner for $140 or NEW printer for $115... that's a tough decision... I've temporarily solved my toner problem by taking the cartridge out and shaking it a bit though... hopefully it'll last me another week before I go home.
Oh, I saw The Legend of Zorro last weekend... it was SO good! I really enjoyed it! I think it's probably just as good as the original. The chemistry between Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones was still there and they were also able to keep the whole comedy aspect of the movie going. I'm actually pretty pleased with the movie... they didn't kill it like most sequels do. I think the fight scenes may even have been better than the original. There were more gymnastic-like moves... *sigh* LOVED IT! I also saw Chicken Little... uhm... it was alright. This movie definately has NOTHING compared to Pixar productions though... I dunno, I might just be biased though. It had it's funny parts I guess...
I'm kind of excited... my sister wants to get a new snowboard and if it all works out, I can get her old one... which would be really great! We're going to go to a chalet for a weekend during the Christmas break up near Blue Mountain so it would be really cool if I could get her board... fingers crossed...
Anyway... back to work...

Hey! I completely forgot to mention that I got my MCAT scores back on Friday! Nothing to be too excited about. I was within the 50th percentile for most of the sections, which means 50% of the people who wrote it did better than me and 50% of the people did worse than me. I guess that's not too bad, I was hoping for better, but expecting worse. My worse sections were physics and biology and my best sections were verbal reading and writing sample. It seems that everytime I write aptitude tests and entrance exams my best section is always reading comprehension... which makes me wonder, should I actually be in English instead of science? I have decided to write it again... mainly because I believe I can personally do better... probably this upcoming summer.

Well, I guess it's been a little over a week since my last blog but what can I say? I'm in the middle of midterm exams' season so I've been pretty busy lately. This is the time where I try desperately to catch with everything I let fall behind... wonderful!
I have however FINALLY picked up my name necklace from the store... and I LOVE IT! I went last weekend while I was home for Thanksgiving to pick it up, but when I tried it on, it was way too long so I asked them to take off another 2 inches which meant I had to wait another week.
I'm a little sad that both Grey's Directory and To Infinity! are both down due to the bandwidth being exceeded. I was really hoping that Grey's Directory would pick up in popularity once Grey's Anatomy started its second season, but with it being down... well, that's not helping... :( I've already notified my host, so my bandwidth should hopefully be increased soon... cross my fingers!
Anyway... I've got to squeeze in a bit of studying before I go to bed so... that's it for today.

Ugh, I have a blister on the bottom of my foot from last week and it's so gross! It won't go away and it keeps... leaking... it's not pretty. I've started wiping it down with alcohol to try and get it to heal faster but it kills!
So anyway, the point of this post is to tell you that I've made a new layout for Grey's Directory and a new wallpaper to match. Let me know what you think... It's kind of similar to the layout I have at Silver Skyes and the last layout I had up, but... OH WELL!

Well, it's the first weekend I've stayed on campus since the beginning of this year... but I actually had a pretty good day. I got up at about 2pm and then went shopping with my suitemates Steph and Michelle. It was a lot of fun, I got 2 graphic tees from Old Navy and some candy, you can never go wrong with candy! After I finished my shopping, I went around the mall talking Steph into buying a whole bunch of stuff she didn't really want to... but hey, you only live once, and really, you just owe yourself a little something once in awhile. So Steph, suck it up and enjoy ;)! She also bought a nail buffer and she's gonna buff the SHIT out of her nails... RELAX STEPH, when you're done with them, you won't have nails LEFT to buff!
We then went for a jog... Steph is really a HUGE health nut and it was more like a run for her while I just held her back, struggled to NOT die! After that it was a girl's night in complete with pizza and America's Next Top Model. I absolutely HATE Cassandra... BITCH!
I've actually been pretty good about exercising this year though... I'm kind of proud of myself, but then again, it means that I'm SORE about 6 of the 7 days a week. Steph and I have been pretty much alternating between swimming and jogging every night. I don't know how long this will last though... with exams coming up soon and such... we'll see...
But overall this week has been pretty crummy! On Monday there was a MASSIVE rain storm that soaked through my backpack and absolutely drenched my notes, wallet and everything else in my bag! I was so pissed off. All I can remember is thinking about when my mom asked me if I wanted a rain jacket or umbrella for school the weekend before and I was like "No, it's already rained 3 times last week, I think I'll be fine..." Boy was I SO wrong... I was definately kicking myself in the ass afterwards! So next weekend we're gonna go get me a rain coat.
I also found out this week that I didn't get chosen for the bursary offered by my mom's work for children of employees at the company. I was a little sad about it. I was really hoping I would get it! $3500... ugh, I don't even want to think about it!
And I also got in a huge fight with my sister this week, but we're cool now. I'm not even sure what we were really arguing about... it was really stupid but it put me in such a bad mood afterwards... sisters!

Home for the weekend and all I can say is, it has been a very long week. The days absolutely DRAGGED on... and I'm already behind in my readings... I'm really looking forward to the Thanksgiving long weekend in 2 weeks (our Thanksgiving in Canada is earlier than the US), but then that means midterms would be coming up right after. That's a big stressor since a lot of the mark breakdowns in my classes are 40% midterm and 60% final. Eek!
I went swimming this week on Wednesday... and for anyone who knows me, I have a MASSIVE fear of drowning so it was a really big deal for me. I went with my friend because she wanted to go swimming and she's a lifeguard so I trusted she wouldn't let me drown. At first she tried to teach me how to tread water... which was a total disaster so after about 20 minutes of that she gave up and we worked on my breast stroke. I eventually went into the deep end and swam a bit there. I think after a bit more practice on my technique and stuff, I could maybe try lane swims. I was so sore afterwards though I couldn't lift my hands above my head without excrutiating pain for the next 2 days.
I was so tired yesterday... at about 3 in the morning someone decided to pull the fire alarm. I was so out of it, but I still managed to get out of bed and then walked 10 flights of stairs down. Some people in my suite just slept right through the alarm, which I can't see how anyone could since it was so loud and even still, I wouldn't want to take the chance in case there were a real fire. As we were all waiting for to be let back into the building, the guy that I was standing next to just started throwing up... and some of it SPLASHED ON MY FOOT! It was SO disgusting and then we had to walk back up 10 flights of stairs when the building was cleared for re-entry. Ugh... it was so cold! And then I couldn't get back to sleep for another hour after that. It really sucked, not to mention the elevators still weren't re-activated until the afternoon.
I'm just glad to be home! I can actually do my laundry now! The washing machines on residence don't wash AT ALL! All they really do get my clothes wet and slosh them around a bit... and the driers don't even dry! Not to mention the fact that they're expensive! So I usually save my clothes to wash when I come home.
I picked up my Visa that came in the mail for me last week! It's pretty exciting since it's my first credit card. My sister says I need a credit card to help me build up good credit so when I become a "real person" I will be able to get loans and mortgages and buy a house and car. I've just been putting off getting a credit card for so long because I already have a debit card and when I use it, I'm spending MY money that I have as opposed to spending Visa's money and then having to pay them back.... make sense? Also, having a Visa makes it so much easier to shop... so I might go overboard!
The first thing I did with my Visa was pay for my Rogers cellphone bill. Which by the way, Rogers ended up over charging me AGAIN. I'm not very please with their service, they always keep over charging my account and when I call they have no idea what the source of the problem is and I'm always put on hold for over 30 minutes. Now that Rogers has changed it's customer service call centre menus from using a touch tone phone to saying the commands, it takes me even LONGER to get service! I'm actually really unhappy with their service and my friend suggested I call and threaten to cancel my service, but I'm not so sure that's going to change anything. This time, they over charged me with my text messages. Originally, I get 75 text messages each month with my plan and then every message after that is 10 cents. However, this month they only gave me 35 text messages and then charged me for every one after that. When I called, the guy I spoke to said it was a computer glitch and that by next month I should be credited back the extra charges. So when I asked if I had to pay the full amount of the bill, he said I should. RIDICULOUS! After the Rogers bill, I ended up getting a name necklace. I'm sure you've probably seen them before. It's kind of like the one Carrie had on Sex and the City. I've wanted one for a really long time but just never got one. My sister said it was just a fad and it would go out of style, but I still want one! The letters are cursive and it's going to be in white gold on a box chain with a little diamond after the first letter. I just ordered it today and they said it should be done in a week and they'll give me a call. I can't wait to get it!
My sister finally booked an appointment for our dog to get groomed. I called our groomer at the end of August to see if we make an appointment for her later in the week and the earliest appointment avaiable at the time was October 2nd. I didn't really want to wait that long since my dog was all matted and smelly so I decided to call around and see if I could bring her elsewhere but some places were really expensive or they didn't provide the services we wanted so we just went back to our original groomer's. Her appointment is next weekend.
I've been downloading TV shows to watch throughout the week to keep up with my favourites. Mondays are Prison Break, Tuesdays are Supernatural, Wednesdays are America's Next Top Model, Thursdays are ER and Sundays are Grey's Anatomy. Not to mention we have a bandwidth cap of 2 gigs at school.... hmph...
